Husband of missing Oregon mother urges public to search roadside ditches

The husband of a missing Oregon mom is pleading with people to hunt roadsides for any hint of his wife, saying, "I have a feeling perhaps she's in a ditch someplace." Jennifer Huston, a 38-year old mother of two, was caught on surveillance video five days ago purchasing gasoline at the Circle K gas station a 9-minute drive from her house. Her husband, Kallen Huston, said Jennifer told him after he had returned home from work on Thursday she was running errands, and had complained about a headache. Huston hasn't been seen since security footage showed two's using her debit card to purchase gas for her 1999 dark green Lexus LX 470. Prior to seeing the gas station, Huston drew a "small amount" of cash at an ATM, Cpt. Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department told FoxNews.com. Investigators held a press conference with Huston's family Kallen Huston begged the public alongside roads for any indications of his wife and her vehicle to search. "I've a feeling maybe she's in a ditch someplace," he said. "We have exercised every option that we can consider right now." "For anybody to have a concern for three days - it is not normal," he said. "It certainly wasn't normal for her." Bill Turner, Jennifer Huston's father and a former homicide investigator, told FoxNews.com he is helping police piece together the final moments before his daughter vanished, and described his son in law as "solid as a rock." The gas station security footage reveals Huston, a stay at home mother, buying petrol between 6:10 and 6:22 p.m. on Thursday. Turner said he reviewed the footage with police and that it didn't reveal anyone inside the vehicle with his daughter. Kosmicki affirmed that no one is seen inside the vehicle with Jennifer but noticed the footage "is not the highest quality." "She merely handed her debit card over and the attendant pumped the gas for her," Kosmicki said of Huston, who has two sons, ages 3 and 6. The debit purchase was the only one made on Thursday, according to her father, who said her bank records were reviewed by him. "This is not like her," he said. "She is a highly devoted mom to her sons." Kosmicki said that about 20 to 25 minutes after Huston left the gas station her cell phone "ceased sending any information to the cell tower." Kosmicki additionally said surveillance video taken from a nearby bank showed Jennifer drawing cash from an ATM just before 6 p.m. Thursday. "It is a considerably better video. Her Husband can plainly see her facial details," he said. "Based on her actions, she appeared quite serene." Turner said the video showed her opening the door slightly to finish her transaction. Kallen Huston has called his wife's disappearance "completely out of character." "He and Jennifer met through mutual friends. The best description I have of their relationship is two old souls," Turner told FoxNews.com. "Kallen is the most incredibly patient person I know. Turner get along. There's no discord in the home whatsoever. No activity has been recorded according to police.
